Tour Groups Welcome!
On your visit to
the farm and gift shop you will experience the serenity and charm that
this working lavender farm offers. Stroll among the lush lavender
plants and cut your own fresh lavender ($5 per bunch) during the cutting
season.
We are
especially proud of our gift shop
“The Lavender
Patch”. Most of the gift
items are hand made by local craftsmen and artists in the Brenham area.
These are one of a kind and very unique items which make great gifts.
On your visit, you will also be sampling the lavender cookies, lavender
roast coffee and pink lavender lemonade in our gift shop.
Our bath and
body products are also handmade using the finest ingredients and pure
lavender essential oil.
General Tour Group
Information
Tour groups are
welcome by appointment with 12 people, but we also invite groups out on weekends as well
Tours can be
scheduled either in the morning or afternoon.
Tour groups need
to schedule at least 2 – 4 weeks in advance
When scheduling,
we will need the name of your group, date/day, the time of arrival and
number in your group – We do confirm groups 2 days prior to your visit.
Tours usually
last approximately 1 hour however if it is during our blooming season
and some of your guests are cutting lavender, your visit could last up
to 1 ½ hours.
There is no fee
for the tours- Only what is spent in our gift shop
The best time to
come out to see the lavender blooming and to cut would be May-June or
August-October. Another great time to come out is in the spring when the
wild flowers are blooming (End of March-April) however the lavender is
not blooming at that time. Please check our website to see when the
lavender is blooming.
If you’re
scheduling online, please make sure that we confirm via email or contact
you by phone.
The gift shop is
wheelchair accessible- please let us know in advance if any of your
guests will be in wheelchairs.
The field is close
enough to the gift shop so seniors should not have any problems in
venturing out to explore the field.
At this time, we do not have
facilities to offer lunch, but you can check out our website for links
to several eating establishments close by.
If you are arriving on a bus,
we ask that your guests remain seated so that our tour guide can board
the bus and give a short introduction about the farm, gift shop and our
products. This seems to make
it much easier for everyone.
We have found
that it is much more efficient for us if you can schedule your group
online, however if that is not possible, you can leave a message on our
business phone at (979) 251-8114. We will get back with you as soon as
possible. |
